OLED's luminous efficiency can greatly exceed LED

The luminous efficiency of an OLED is the same as that of an LED. The efficiency of OLED lighting fixtures can significantly exceed that of LEDs, and OLED components can theoretically achieve luminous efficiencies as high as 249 lm/W.
The theoretical limit value of the luminous efficiency of the white light-emitting OLED element is 249 lm/W when the color temperature is 4000 K and a single-layer light-emitting structure, and 184 lm/W when the series structure is used. The theoretical limit value is assumed to be all light extraction efficiency and internal and external quantum efficiency. The luminous efficiency is 100%, and the theoretical limit of the luminous efficiency of white LED is about 260 lm/W. If the OLED adopts a single-layer light-emitting structure, the luminous efficiency can also be close to this value. OLED is also called organic light-emitting diode (organic). LED, OLED), there is no fundamental difference between LED and luminescence principle. From this point of view, the theoretical values of the luminous efficiencies of the two are not surprising.
In the OLED components actually manufactured before, there have been examples in which the internal quantum efficiency is close to 100%, but the light extraction efficiency is only about 60% at most, and the theoretical road has not been paved for improvement to 100%.
"Even with the current OLED technology, the luminous efficiency of lighting fixtures can compete with LED lighting. If the lighting fixture exposes the LED light source, it will cause eye damage. The diffusion plate used to prevent this will lead to luminous efficiency. OLED lighting often uses the illuminating panel directly as a lighting fixture, which rarely causes a significant reduction in luminous efficiency.
