Recently, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced that it has introduced a new 16-pin and 24-pin version conforming to JEDECMO-137variationAB and AE, expanding its OSOP series of surface mount dual in-line thin film network resistors in a 25 mil pitch-pitch QSOP package. Vishay Dale thin film network resistors are available in an isolated, shared final pin and custom circuit with a relative resistance tolerance of ±0.025% and a relative TCR of ±5ppm/°C for higher accuracy than competing devices.
The network resistors released today are suitable for precision voltage dividers and operational amplifiers with a maximum base height of 1.73mm and a pitch of 25mils, which is 50% less board space than current standard pitch devices. Typical applications include telecommunications, industrial, process control, and medical devices.
In an isolated circuit, the 16pin and 24pin resistor networks have 8 or 12 resistors, each with a resistance of 500Ω to 100kΩ and a power rating of 100mW. In a circuit that shares the last pin, the device has seven or eleven resistors. The network resistor is constructed of a durable molded case with no solder paste inside. The absolute TCR is ±25ppm/°C. At 70°C, the resistance ratio of ±0.015% can be maintained for 2000 hours.
The noise of the resistor is extremely low, less than -30dB, the voltage coefficient is less than 0.1ppm/V, and the operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C. The OSOP series is RoHS compliant and halogen free.
Samples of the new network resistors are available now and are in volume production, with lead times of five to ten weeks for larger orders.
