64 companies received disposal subsidies for used appliances

It is understood that as of April 30, 2013, 64 companies in China have entered the list of subsidies for waste electrical and electronic products processing funds, with an annual processing capacity of 88 million. The Ministry of Environmental Protection's plan for processing industries across the country is 114, with a handling capacity of 94 million units.

In March 2013, the Institute of Electrical Appliances and Circulation Research Institute of China Household Electrical Appliances Research Institute conducted research on two batches of 64 companies that were subsidized by the Waste Electrical and Electronic Products Processing Fund. Half of them were private/private enterprises, foreign-owned enterprises accounted for 6%, and state-owned enterprises accounted for 19%. 10% of joint ventures. From the perspective of the size of the processing companies, 81% of the annual processing capacity is over 500,000 units, and 100-2 million units are in the majority, accounting for 36%; and 2 million or more large processing plants account for 22%. From the planned product category, TVs accounted for 53%, computers 12%, washing machines 10%, refrigerators 9%, and room air conditioners accounted for 6%.

At the 2013 International Conference on Recycling Technology and Responsibility for Producer Responsibilities of Electronic and Electrical Products, the China Household Electrical Appliances Research Institute has for the first time publicly released the “White Paper on the Recycling and Comprehensive Utilization of Waste Electrical and Electronic Products in 2012”. The white paper on recycling and comprehensive utilization of waste electrical and electronic products in China is the only white paper on the recycling and disposal industry for waste electrical and electronic products in China. The white paper provides support for government decision-making based on the latest management models, advanced technology and precision science scrap data from developed countries and regions, and provides reference for enterprise development. The white paper released this year also covers for the first time the theoretical scrap data of various regions in China, providing basis for recycling companies to understand the local market and formulate business strategies.
