Yu Anqi: Only emphasize that lm/w is a partial phenomenon
Yu Anqi said: "First of all, there are several concepts. From the perspective of internationalization, the light source lm/w should be called light efficiency. For lamps that cannot replace the light source, that is, LED lamps, lm/w should be called luminaire efficiency. The same, but the two are fundamentally different, because the lamps are also responsible for the distribution and balance of light, so the two are different. But just talking about lm/w is obviously far from complete, because if the lamps are produced The light is radiated to an unneeded place, and the efficiency is reduced. In addition, if the light becomes an uncomfortable glare, it is meaningless to simply pursue the lumen."
He believes that merely emphasizing lm/w is an obvious phenomenon of partiality, not by professionals, nor by the pursuit of high-end international companies.
In the questioning session, when the participants asked Yu Anqi whether there was any lighting product that met the preliminary judgment method of lighting quality, Yu Anqi pointed out: "People-oriented is a prerequisite. Good products are not tested, they are manufactured and produced."
He also emphasized that it is very important that the product must be designed and manufactured with the last application in mind. He said that even if the product is very good, if the occasion is not right, the lighting design is wrong, and the same lighting effect can not be achieved. Only when the requirements are fully met, the people-oriented efficient lighting and rational lighting are the lighting we need.
Xiao Hongqing: The light output of LED products should be effectively distributed
Professor Xiao Hongqing of the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology said when talking about this issue: "We are optimistic about lm/w, emphasizing that the LED industry pursues high light efficiency, we will not get lost. In order to pursue high light efficiency and longevity, we introduce generations. The production equipment is being updated from generation to generation, so we are going to review whether we have effectively distributed and reused the light output of LED products."
He said that in the current design of all luminaires, the biggest problem is that the lighting of the luminaires is very poor. If the LED lighting output can be designed through the luminaire design, the efficiency can be most effectively distributed, such as large-scale stores. Classrooms can actually reduce the use of lighting by a third. The number of lamps is reduced, the energy efficiency is higher, and the recycling rate will be faster for investors.
He went on to say: The LED industry should not be operating as embarrassingly as everyone is now. We have always used high-efficiency products, but we have not used their energy well. This is a waste of lighting.
He stressed that in addition to light efficiency and lm/w, the future should specifically discuss the part of the true effective luminous flux output and the distribution curve. The combination of the two and the power of the energy enable the LED to be used more effectively. .
He concluded that LED is one of the options available to all of our available light sources, so don't over-emphasize the energy savings and advantages of LEDs. It is necessary for us to establish an effective overall evaluation of the lighting design case in order to make a general assessment of the case designed by different designers to meet the requirements of humanization and energy conservation and emission reduction, thus promoting the development of lighting design and industrial technology.
