Not only Yimeixinguang, Dongshan Precision (002384.SZ), Ruifeng Optoelectronics (300241.SZ) and other listed companies are also accelerating market layout.

However, while the market share of domestic enterprises continues to rise, global TV sales are experiencing a historical low. "Due to the financial crisis and the impact of the European debt crisis, our statistics on global TV sales have declined last year. Domestic companies grab the backlight market

"The acceptance of domestic LED manufacturers by domestic TV manufacturers is increasing." Fan Zhencan said that the domestic LCD panel industry chain has gradually matured, prompting domestic TV manufacturers to rebuild their upstream supply chain system. The medium and large-size LED backlight market, which was previously monopolized by South Korea and Taiwan, is gradually shifting to mainland China. “Domestic companies can grab a certain chance.”

The reporter noted that Ruifeng Optoelectronics achieved good performance in the first half of this year.

This year, the company announced that it has obtained certifications from TV manufacturers such as Hisense, Skyworth, and Changhong, and has begun to supply small quantities.

Another company that performed well in the domestic LED backlight market in the first half of the year was Dongshan Precision (002384.SZ). At present, the company has obtained orders for LED TV backlight modules from TCL, Konka, Skyworth and Tsinghua Tongfang. Dongshan precision packaging capacity is 300KK/month, and backlight accounts for more than 85% of production capacity. The company plans to achieve a packaging capacity of 800 KK/month by the end of this year. With an annual production capacity of 1.5 million sets of LED backlight modules per production line, the processing capacity will reach 7.5 million sets.

“Although the market share of LED TV backlights is still dominated by Taiwanese and Korean companies in China, the future will gradually turn into open market competition, and the opportunities for domestic enterprises are increasing.” In Gong Weibin’s view, domestic LED backlight manufacturers亟The bottleneck to be solved is that the professionalism and scale are difficult to match the requirements of TV manufacturers.

The market is difficult to sustain high growth

Although domestic companies are grabbing the LED backlight market share, the situation is not optimistic. According to a previous global TV market research report, global TV sales in 2011 decreased by 0.3% from the previous year to 247.7 million units. This data is the first time since the above survey was conducted in 2004 that it has decreased from the previous year.

The industry generally believes that the decline in global color TV sales is due to the global economic downturn, consumer purchasing power continues to decline, resulting in poor sales in Europe and the United States, and the Asian market replacement needs have been released.

For the overall sales scale in 2012, Zhang Bing said that global TV shipments will decrease by about 10% in the first half of this year, and sales will strengthen in the second half of the year. It is expected that the annual shipments will remain the same as last year.

"With the continuous decline in the penetration of LED backlight LCD TV penetration, the low tide of global TV sales will inevitably affect the sustained high-speed growth of the LED backlight market." Although in Gong Weibin's view, the LED backlight market still has 5-10 years. It is still too early to apply new technologies such as living space and OLED on TV.
