Hubei LED street lamp standard introduced 60% energy saving than traditional street lamps

Recently, the Hubei Provincial Bureau of Quality Supervision announced the promotion of local standards for LED street lighting fixtures jointly drafted by the Provincial Institute of Metrology and Measurement Technology and Wuhan Diyuan Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd.

According to reports, LED street lamps are nearly 60% more energy-efficient than traditional street lamps, and their carbon emissions are only 1/8 that of traditional street lamps. Wuhan Diyuan Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. is the only domestic manufacturer with core technologies in the industry. The independently researched and developed products break the situation in which LED lighting chips are completely dependent on imports. At present, Wuhan Donghu New Technology Development Zone has gathered more than 20 LED manufacturing enterprises, and the annual output value is expected to exceed 2 billion yuan.

It is also known that local standards for LED road lighting fixtures have standardized technical requirements and provided technical basis for product design, production, and inspection.
