It is reported that NanoLumens, an LED display manufacturer based in Atlanta, Georgia, has announced that it has launched a true glass-free touch screen technology.
This technology is a viable option for the company's ENGAGE series of fine pixel-pitch LED displays. According to Rick Cope, CEO of NanoLumens, the touch-sensitive NanoLumens ENGAGE display has been installed in a regional office of the Global 2000 Global Business Park and a Fortune 500 companies worldwide.
Cope said: "The touch-sensitive NanoLumens ENGAGE series display eliminates the drawbacks of using blackout glass on the display."
NanoLumens says its new touch-sensitive display offers a truly glass-free solution. The company also pointed out that in the past few years, the company has been improving its touch technology. Therefore, NanoLumens said it can provide users with relevant usage while publishing the availability of the technology.
Cope said that the development of glass-free touch screens and fine pixel-pitch LED displays has helped to further eliminate the need for LCD or projection-based solutions in many applications. NanoLumens says its touchscreen solution eliminates traditional glass frames or plastic screens that have the drawback of isolating the display from touch features, preventing users from actually touching the display.
