On December 1, at the Fifth China Internet Audiovisual Conference, the Internet Television Working Committee was formally established and the future TV CEO Li Ming was elected as the first chairman. According to relevant industry statistics, At present, the penetration rate of domestic Internet TV is as high as 84%. With Internet TV set-top boxes, the total number of users in the entire market has exceeded 200 million. The convergence advantages of Internet TV, such as large-screen, high-definition, on-demand, and smart, are deeply loved by the majority of users, and have become mainstream audiovisual media.

As an emerging industry, Internet TV has great potential for development and has attracted many industry participants. But at the same time, due to different development ideas of various parties in the industry, technical and data industry standards and specifications are not uniform, making the information of all parties in the industry chain asymmetric and difficult to dock, resulting in a huge waste of industry resources, but also hindering the payment, Advertisements, applications, and other businesses with broad development prospects are limited. At the same time, some new entrants do not understand the relevant policy requirements and regulations, and bring some negative factors to the broadcast of the health norms of Internet TV content. It is necessary to guide the development orientation of the industry through the industry organizations to popularize relevant policy requirements and regulations.

To promote the development of the Internet TV industry, strengthen self-discipline in the industry, establish industry responsibilities, and guide the direction of industrial development, establish a bridge of communication between government authorities and Internet-TV-related companies, and take the lead of future TVs to jointly bring together seven licensees and broadcasts.
