Infineon Technologies AG announces the OptiMOSTM 5 150 V portfolio for energy-efficient design and applications. This product family further expands the lineup of the industry's latest generation of OptiMOSTM 5 power MOSFETs . The new 150 V product family is optimized for high performance applications requiring low charge, high power density and high tolerance. It is one of the key components of Infineon's system solutions for low-voltage motor drives, synchronous rectification of communications power supplies, and synchronous DC/DC Brick rectification, as well as solar power optimizers.

More environmentally friendly technology

Infineon continues to develop products for energy-efficient design to help reduce global carbon dioxide emissions. The OptiMOSTM 5 150 V helps achieve this by reducing the energy consumption of telecom equipment or improving the power and cruising range of electric vehicles.

Compared to its next-generation best-in-class alternative, the OptiMOSTM 5 150 V in a SuperSO8 package can significantly reduce the on-resistance RDS(on) by 25%. With the same on-resistance, the product family's FOMg is optimized for up to 29% over the previous generation. Ultra-low Qrr --- 72% lower than its next-generation best alternative, SuperSO8 -- enhances through-flow tolerance. Another outstanding feature of this family is its superior EMI performance.
